The Iron Pigs administration, led by Director of Human Resources Denise Ahner will be providing our ATD EPA chapter a tour of Coca Cola Park followed by an interactive presentation on what talent manegement looks like for a Triple-A Minor League baseball team with tickets to the game to follow. After the discussion, we'll better understand:
* What professional development is needed to support seasonal workers
* How the organization retains the valuable organizational knowledge to keep the business running smoothly year to year
* What are the biggest process changes between in/out of season
* Q&A to address any questions our audience may have!
Members, guests, friends and family are all welcome to this fun filled networking event. We urge you to please invite colleagues in the talent management profession and help us grow the chapter. Join ATD EPA and the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for an evening of VIP treatment and hopefully a big win against a local rival!
The IronPigs are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The team plays their home games at Coca-Cola which opened for the start of the IronPigs' first season in 2008, seats up to 8,100, with a capacity of 10,000, and cost $50.25 million to complete. In 2016, Forbes listed the IronPigs as the fourth-most valuable Minor League Baseball team with a value of $43 million.
The IronPigs name is a reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is world-renowned.
